Humor Therapy
The remarkable effects of using humor as a therapeutic tool in dealing with pain, depression and general illness has been documented from the Ancient Romans, to Norman Cousins, M.D., to a course of study at Harvard Medical School. This session covers the history of humor in medicine to its present day practical uses.
Objectives
- Identify appropriate humor tools and techniques.
- Understand and maximize humor in patient treatment.
