On November 3, 2003, Resurrection Medical Center entered its second half-century of service to the people of the Northwest side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Exactly 50 years earlier, the first patient was admitted to the new 180-bed Resurrection Medical Center, built on a site that was once "Anderson's Onion Farm," fulfilling a dream and a goal of the Sisters of the Resurrection.
Today, Resurrection Medical Center (RMC) is a 360-bed community hospital-the largest of the Resurrection Health Care hospitals-with 523 physicians, 1,643 full-time employees and 336 volunteers, the 15th largest hospital in Chicago. RMC is continuously upgrading physical facilities and expanding services to keep pace with the changing needs of a diverse population.
RMC's services lines include cardiology — including cardiovascular surgery and cardiac electrophysiology — family practice medicine, internal medicine, oncology, medical/surgical, acute care and rehabilitation.
